“And this is the question I just can’t get around: If it’s true that the Spirit of God dwells in us and that our bodies are the Holy Spirit’s temple, then shouldn’t there be a huge difference between the person who has the Spirit of God living inside of him or her and the person who does not?“
I started reading the book, “Forgotten God” again by Francis Chan the other day (which, by the way is an awesome book!!), and this quote stuck out to me. I thought of all the times I’ve been a crab, complaining and moaning about small and big things in life. I also recalled how I treated others, most of the time thinking I’m better than them and treating them like it. If someone were to follow me all day like they do with those in reality tv shows, would they see someone who reflects Christ as much as they could, or would I blend in with the rest of the world?
Would people know by my lifestyle and actions that I am a Christian?
“But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things! Those who belong to Jesus Christ have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified them there. Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives.” Galatians 5:22-25
