Remember The (Prophetic) Words Spoken Over You

Hey guys!

This is a late night post (again), but I wanted to share with you a quick thought I learned tonight. Well, I knew it before, so I guess you could say I re-learned it.

Tonight I went to my church’s young adult’s “Gathering” and the verse we went over was:

1 Timothy 1:18

“Timothy, my son, here are my instructions for you, based on the prophetic words spoken about you earlier. May they help you fight well in the LORD’s battles.”

We all have a past. Some of us have experienced breakthroughs that have spurred us into healthier lives, while others are still stuck in the mire, not able to find a way out. I believe we all have the ability to experience breakthrough, so if that isn’t your story yet, don’t give up! God has not forgotten about you. Your time is coming.

For those of us who have, and who have had some kind of prophetic word spoken over us, I wanted to remind you to remember those words. We all experience battles daily, and knowing your calling, destiny, and gifts (along with utilizing the gifts of the Holy Spirit) will keep your head on straight, eyes focused on the right goal, as Satan tries whatever he can to knock us down or derail us.

Paul continues in verse 19: “Cling to your faith in Christ, and keep your conscience clear. For some people deliberately violated their consciences; as a result, their faith has been shipwrecked.”

Is your faith shipwrecked? Is it dormant? Do you feel lost? Whatever you’re going through, if it’s anything contrary to what God has planned for you, I charge your to remember the words that have been spoken over you. If you haven’t received any words like that, I charge you to ask God for some. Ask Him to give them to you Himself (I’ve had that happen a lot), or through someone around you. God is not a God of confusion.

Don’t let Satan’s lies rule your life.

Let God’s truth set you free and His calling equip you with confidence as you face whatever battles each day. Spend time in God’s Word and strengthen your faith. This will spur on your confidence in Christ even more.
Hope you have a blessed week,

Woman of Purity~
